For security reasons there is no master code. Neither SafeGear nor the lock manufacturer can open a safe remotely or recover a forgotten code — no such override exists, and that is precisely what makes the lock worth having.
What you can do depends on whether the door is open or closed.
1) OPEN door — the code can be reset following the procedure in your lock manual. If you no longer have it, and you bought the safe from us, contact us with the safe model and the lock brand.
2) LOCKED door, emergency key supplied — some of our safes with an electronic lock are delivered with an emergency key from the factory. If yours was, that key opens the door and the code can then be reset.
3) LOCKED door, no emergency key — there is no easy solution. A professional locksmith would have to pick the lock, which is not easy, or open the safe destructively to recover the contents. The approach depends on the security grade of your safe, and in most cases the safe is destroyed and has to be replaced.
